How To Do Dragon Flag

The dragon flag is a great exercise to build your strength, but before you start with it, you need to prepare yourself. Since it is an expert-level exercise, you need to make sure your body will be able to handle it and take safety precautions before trying it out for the first time.

Here are a few steps you need to follow to successfully do the dragon flag:

Step 1: Prep before You Start

To ease yourself into the workout, do some stretches. This will warm up your muscles and ensure that you do not harm yourself.

Step 2: Lie down on a Flat/Decline Bench

Find yourself a decline or flat bench and lie down. Rest your head on the topmost part of the bench and grab the handles above you to support yourself.

Step 3: Flex!

Tighten your muscles and create tension throughout your entire body so that all your muscles are flexed.

Step 4: Do the Dragon Flag

Straighten your feet and put them together. Now, slowly raise your feet towards the ceiling until your body is completely vertical. I know it sounds hard, but you can do it! Make sure you keep your abdominal muscles completely tight and try to straighten up your body as much as possible.

Once your body is pointing upwards, hold the position if you can, and also squeeze your muscles as tight as you can. Once you’re done, slowly lower your body to the ground.

Step 5: Repeat

It is a strenuous exercise so don’t push yourself too hard. Stop when your desired rep is reached !
